Ormond College extends its congratulations to the members of our community who have been recognised in the recent Australia Day Honours list.Professor Jeff Borland AO  (OC 1984) has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to business as a labour market economist, to tertiary education, to microeconomic research, and to public policy development.Emeritus Professor Colin Burton Chapman AM (OC 1973) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to pharmacy and pharmaceutical science research, education and practice.Mr Matthew John Coleman OAM (OC 1986) has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the agricultural show sector.Ms Maryjane Crabtree AM (OC 1975) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the legal profession, to community health, and to sport.Professor John Marshall O'Donnell AM (OC 1971) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to orthopaedics as a clinician and mentor. Emeritus Professor Loane Lovat Skene AM (Spouse of Graeme Skene - OC 1963) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law, and to bioethics and medical research regulation. Dr Robert George Stirling AM (OC 1979) has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to respiratory oncology as a clinician and educator, and to research. Ormond College is very proud of our alumni who were honored for their significant and diverse contributions and service to fellow citizens in Australia and internationally.We would love to hear from other members of the Ormond community who have received awards.
