Parents Welcome reception

Master, Lara McKay and Vice-Master, Dr Ari Metuamate welcomed over 250 parents of current students to Ormond College for this reception on Friday 17 March in the Quad.

The Melbourne weather was more than kind as parents of new and returning students gathered to meet each other as well as the Master and the Vice-Master.

Lara thanked parents for travelling from all over Australia to be present on the evening, a sign of their dedication to their children’s education, careers and futures.

Ari welcomed parents and introduced Dean of Student Success, Rose Jost as well as Dean of Student Life, James Kelly, all of whom live on campus and are in frequent contact with the students on a day-to-day basis.

Prior to the gathering at Ormond, the OCA, lead by Simon Thornton (1988) and Hugh Macdonald (1986) arranged for alumni parents to gather with their Ormond children at Naughton’s for an informal get together before heading over to Ormond for the reception.
