Founders & Benefactors Service and Dinner 2022

Ormond College Master, Lara McKay welcomed over 150 students, alumni and guests to the College Chapel and Dining Hall on Sunday 10 April, 2022 to celebrate and thank College Founders & Benefactors. It was the first time in three years we were able to celebrate the occasion.

4th year Medicine student and scholarship recipient, Ardeshire Sahmeddini spoke of his appreciation for the support and collegiality he had experienced during his time at the College since moving to Australia from Iran.

Other highlights included the first official performance of the Ormond College Pipes! Students Hugo Bernard, Max Maccioli and Alex Meggit performed three songs including Waltzing Matilda. Nathalie Wilder with vocals and Emma Murphy on the keyboard also performed a stirring rendition of Cold Chisel’s Flame Trees.
