Mother’s Day Brunch 2022

Ormond College Master, Lara McKay welcomed over 500 students, mother’s and guests to the Dining Hall on Sunday 8 May, 2022 to celebrate Mother’s Day over two brunch sessions.

1st year Music student, Reuben Rasmussen dedicated a cover of Carole King’s “You’ve got a friend” to his mother who was present, and lead a chorus of the entire Dining Hall clapping and singing along.

Lara McKay highlighted the importance of family and community to the Ormond College experience and, given the difficulties faced in recent years, how lovely it was to welcome people back on to campus without the restrictions of recent times.

The student club philanthropy team raffled a hamper of Ormond goodies to those present to raise funds for “Pay the Rent”.
