New & Old
New & Old is Ormond’s flagship alumni magazine, celebrating the people, stories, and traditions that shape our community. It’s both a record of our past and a glimpse into our future, keeping Ormondians connected no matter where life takes them.
Past issues
The December 2024 edition of New & Old captures a year of transition and achievement for the Ormond community. It marks the handover from Lara McKay to new Master Dr Areti (Ari) Metuamate, celebrates 50 years of Stephen McIntyre as artist in residence, and profiles alumni and students making their mark around the world. From international law and Indigenous leadership to music, medicine and entrepreneurship, the magazine reflects Ormond’s enduring spirit of curiosity, generosity and impact.
Marks 50 years of co-education at Ormond, spotlighting the trailblazing women who reshaped the College and continue to inspire today. Other highlights include student achievements in music and sport, alumni-powered internships, and stories of Ormondians making an impact from Antarctica to NASA.

Donor Impact Report 2024
Our latest report reflects on another year of generosity, outlining how scholarships, bursaries, and capital gifts are shaping Ormond’s future. It shares first-hand student stories of opportunity and achievement, made possible through the continued commitment of the College’s alumni and friends .
Past reports
In 2023, $1.21 million in financial support ensured almost a quarter of Ormond students received assistance. The report features student stories from Alice Springs to Tyabb, celebrates capital works including accessibility upgrades to heritage buildings, and acknowledges the generosity of 327 donors and alumni volunteers.
With $1.03 million in scholarships and financial assistance distributed, the 2022 report shares the stories of students whose lives were transformed by donor support. It also spotlights the restoration of the Chapel’s slate roof and the growing strength of Ormond Connect, with more than 800 alumni offering mentoring and career advice.
Celebrating 140 years of generosity, the 2021 report highlights the $1.16 million in scholarships and bursaries provided to students, as well as the vital restoration of Ormond’s heritage buildings. It showcases the extraordinary impact of over 300 donors who helped students through one of the most challenging years in recent memory.
