Ormond’s Global Outlook

Today, Ormond College is a vibrant, diverse and globally connected community. One that spans borders, disciplines and generations. With over 10,000 alumni around the world, Ormondians are shaping a better future: advising governments, launching purpose-driven ventures, advancing research, and building bridges across cultures and nations.
As Australia’s largest residential college, Ormond plays a unique role in the region. We are expanding our impact through a renewed focus on the Asia-Pacific and globally important locations including the UK and US. Our Asia Pacific & Global Engagement Strategy deepens this commitment through strategic partnerships, cultural exchange, global fellowships and a growing network of changemakers.
Welcome the world
Ormond is home to students and scholars from across the globe. Their perspectives and leadership enrich every aspect of College life. We are growing our international student cohort and building recruitment pipelines across priority APAC countries and beyond.
Fostering global learning and exchange
From fellowships and exchange programs to immersive study experiences, we support students to learn through global and regional engagement. Future plans include a bespoke Oxbridge scholarship exchange and an APAC-focused immersion program through the Wade Institute.
Hosting dialogues that matter
Our community is regularly joined by leading thinkers, diplomats, innovators and educators from across the Asia-Pacific for high-impact public events and intimate conversations. These engagements broaden minds and foster regional understanding.
Building lifelong global networks
We’re building chapters in key global cities, activating networks of alumni, families and friends of the College to foster community, discover future students, and open doors to new opportunities for Ormondians around the world.
Preparing regional leaders
Ormond prepares students to lead with curiosity, courage and conscience—ready to make a difference not just at home, but across the region and the world.
