Application Process

We’re looking for people who'll dive into College life and make a special contribution to our extraordinary community.We’re not just looking for strong marks, but for curiosity, leadership and the interests that make you, you. The application process is designed to help us get to know you – your experiences, values and what you’ll bring to College life.
Step 1 – Apply to Ormond College
Head to the Colleges of the University of Melbourne website and complete the online application form. Put Ormond College as your first preference.Applying for a non-resident place? Apply here instead.

Step 2 – Organise supporting documents and pay the fee
Once submitted, we’ll send you an email confirming any supporting documents we need and a link to pay the $75 application fee.
Step 3 – Apply for financial assistance
If you think you'll need support with Ormond fees, apply for financial assistance. Learn more about eligibility for financial assistance here and complete the application form.Unfortunately financial assistance is not available for non-resident or study abroad/exchange students.
Step 4 – Attend an interview
All applicants will undergo an initial assessment and will be notified whether their application will proceed to the interview stage.
Step 5 – Application outcome
Your Ormond Offer will be emailed to you, so make sure you check your email regularly.If you do not receive an offer from Ormond College, your application will be passed on to the Intercollegiate Office for consideration by the next available college on your preference list.
