A welcoming base for groups

Nestled in heritage gardens close to the city, Ormond provides a safe, central base for school, youth and community groups during multi‑day stays.
Located just 1.5 km from Melbourne’s city centre and set within expansive heritage gardens, our campus provides a safe, central, and welcoming base for multi-day stays. Guests enjoy the historic charm of Ormond combined with practical amenities, dedicated support, and chef-prepared meals served in our iconic Dining Hall.
Accommodation styles
Our dormitory-style rooms are simple, comfortable and secure, perfect for student groups and educational programs.
    •    Single occupancy rooms with in-room wardrobe space
    •    Shared bathroom facilities (gender-separated on request)
    •    Linen and towels provided
    •    Free in-room internet available on request
    •    24/7 reception and onsite duty manager
    •    Laundry facilities (washing machines and dryers available in all buildings)
Dining
Breakfast is included in all stays, with the option to add College Fare lunch and dinner – served in our stunning Dining Hall. All meals are prepared fresh by our in-house chefs, with full capacity to meet dietary requirements.
Facilities
Guests have access to a range of shared indoor and outdoor spaces:
    •    Multiple function and breakout spaces (classroom setups available)
    •    Junior Common Room with lounge seating for informal gatherings
    •    Tennis/basketball court (BYO equipment)
    •    Expansive lawn area for group activities and games
 
Supervision and safety
For junior guests (under 18), we require:
    •    A minimum of one supervising adult for every ten students
    •    Proof of valid Working with Children Checks from all supervising adults
    •    Separate accommodation areas for different genders available upon request
