Take part in forums Studying Arts but keen to learn more about business? Enrolled in Biomed but jealous of your mates studying history? Our Learning and Academic Development Team have you covered with free weekly forums on all sorts of subjects, right here on campus! Some recent sessions: ‘The Philosophy of Horror’; ‘Climate Change and Weather Systems’, ‘Trump’s Tariffs’ and ‘Aristotle’s Poetics’. They’re taught by academic staff and are open to all students.

Dive deep with Ormond Intensives Want to go even deeper? In between semesters we run deep-dive short courses, open to second and third-year students. These are our Ormond Intensives and they’re very popular. Apply to spend a few extra days on campus immersed in ‘The Mini MBA’ , ‘The Mind of the Buddha’ or ‘The Physics of the Brain’.
Catch a guest speaker Lots of amazing people stop by Ormond to speak with the College community. Recent guests have included celebrated philosopher Peter Singer, First Nations leader Thomas Mayo, Nobel Laureate and immunologist Peter Doherty and former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark.
