Ormond College is thrilled to announce the appointment of Julia Ladgrove as our new Executive Director of Advancement.Julia is an advancement executive, campaign strategist and philanthropy leader known for building influential partnerships, mobilising investment across sectors and leading transformational campaigns that strengthen institutions and communities.As Executive Director of Advancement at Ormond College, she will lead philanthropic strategy, alumni engagement, and the $30 million capital campaign. Working closely with Master Dr Areti Metuamate, Chair Richard Loveridge, Council and key stakeholders, Julia is responsible for advancing Ormond’s long-term strategic vision through philanthropy, partnerships and global alumni engagement.Julia brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across philanthropy, sport, corporate foundations, and community organisations. She has secured significant philanthropic, corporate and government investment across capital campaigns, infrastructure development and community impact initiatives, with a track record of translating strategic ambition into funded outcomes.A defining chapter of her career was her leadership at the Western Bulldogs, where she played a key role in advancing fundraising and engagement strategy supporting the Club’s $80 million Whitten Oval redevelopment. She developed and delivered the Forever a Bulldog campaign, uniting members, donors, corporate partners and community stakeholders behind a shared vision that strengthened the Club’s legacy and future.Previously, Julia served as Director of the Quiksilver Foundation Asia Pacific, where she led regional philanthropic and community investment strategy across corporate, sport and social impact partnerships. In this role, she represented the Asia Pacific region on the Global Board, working with senior business leaders, community organisations and cross-sector partners to design and deliver initiatives that aligned commercial capability with social purpose at scale.Alongside her executive roles, Julia has advised and partnered with a range of community organisations and boards, supporting fundraising strategy, partnership development and organisational growth.In 2026, she founded the Geelong Women's Fund, bringing together leaders from business, philanthropy and sport to accelerate investment and opportunity for women and girls. The initiative reflects her broader commitment to expanding access, influence and capital in underrepresented sectors, particularly women’s sport.Julia is recognised for her ability to convene diverse stakeholders around ambitious visions for impact, building the relationships and strategic alignment required to deliver complex, multi-sector outcomes.
