Ormond College has announced the appointment of its 2025 Fellows, welcoming leaders in academia, the arts, business, public life, and community service to its vibrant residential community. The Ormond Fellows program fosters mentorship and connection, enriching student life and strengthening Ormond’s global and interdisciplinary networks. Fellows engage with students through seminars, fireside chats, professional mentoring, and events such as Formal Hall and the annual All-Fellows Dinner.Master and Head of College, Dr Areti (Ari) Metuamate, said the program reflects Ormond’s founding vision of education as a force for the common good.“Fellows bring the world into Ormond. They inspire our students with their knowledge, their journeys, and their leadership. Just as importantly, they are themselves enlivened by the energy and curiosity of our students.”They join a community that includes Honorary Fellows such as Judge Hilary Charlesworth (International Court of Justice), Professor Glyn Davis AC, and Distinguished Professor Marcia Langton AO.The Chair of Fellows for 2025–2027 is Associate Professor Jane Freemantle OAM, who will play a key role in strengthening connections between Fellows and the College community. For Jane, the role is about connection:“The Fellows are here to listen and share their journeys. Together with students, we create a community where ideas flow freely and everyone is encouraged to grow.”Fellows will be officially welcomed at their first Formal Hall and the All-Fellows Dinner later this year.
